I enjoy student writing very much as this enables me to learn much more about the students than I would in daily conversation. Each year in one of our advanced level classes, our students join the International Composition Class run by Johnson County Community College in the USA. Using the internet, we study with students from the USA, Morocco and Russia by exchanging compositions in English. The topics enable the students to learn about each other and the life in their respective countries. The teachers enjoy this class, too.
（学生の書いたものを読むのを大変楽しみにしています。それは普通の会話に比べ、学生についてより多くのことを知ることができるからです。毎年上級クラスの一つでは私たちの学生が米国のジョンソン・カウンティ・コミュニティ・カレッジが主催する国際作文教室に参加します。インターネットを使い英語で書いた作文を米国、モロッコ、ロシアの学生と交換し勉強します。学生は作文を通してお互いの国のことまたそれぞれの国の生活等についても学ぶことができます。教師もまたこのクラスを楽しみにしています。）
趣味
I love sport and being outdoors so I play tennis with our students whenever I have time. I also join the Caritas English Lunch Club once a week and chat together with students in English during the lunch break. They often give me advice about which movies to watch.

学生へのメッセージ
There are many ways to learn a foreign language. I think the best way is to go to a country where that language is spoken. At Caritas Junior College, we help many students to go abroad to colleges with which we have links or to places of their own choice.
Students find that study abroad is a fun and painless way to improve their language skills. Another fun way is to use movies. Films which put the emphasis on the story or script rather than on action are the best ones to use for language study.
（外国語を学ぶには多くの方法がありますが、一番良い方法はその言語が話されている国に行くことだと思います。カリタス短期大学では多くの学生に対しカリタスと提携している大学やまた学生が自ら望む学校で勉強できるよう応援しています。学生は外国で語学を勉強することは楽しくまた簡単に語学技術を上達できる道であるいうことを実感します。楽しく学ぶもうひとつ方法は映画をみることです。アクション映画などではなく、ストーリーや脚本に重点をおいた映画は語学を学ぶのに最適のものだと思います）
